As managing director of ESROM Capital, Scott is interested in middle market situations with the opportunity for an equity position.
After acquiring Iris Window Coverings in 2019, Scott has served as its President and General Manager.
Prior to ESROM and Iris, Scott’s experience involved a variety of operating roles with durable goods businesses over the last 20 years, including valve actuators, door entry systems, and heavy equipment.
Inside the workplace, Scott is interested in building, developing, and leading teams to continually improve their operations, with the result of helping companies to become more profitable.
Outside the workplace, Scott enjoys spending time with his 2 daughters, playing golf, and being transported by outstanding artistic performances.
Originally from the southeast, Scott moved to the Seattle area in 2003 equipped with 2 engineering degrees and a Wharton MBA. He’s excited to be living his dream of making investments, leading an organization, and putting his skills to use to benefit a company, its employees, and its customers.
The idea for ESROM Capital came about in 2003, when Scott first crafted a dream and a plan to acquire and operate a business. The logo and name for ESROM was inspired by a well-known progressive rock guitarist, someone who had succeeded and overcome adversity through grit, determination and perseverance.
Having been influenced and inspired for many years by this musician and composer, Scott began his own journey, requiring the same qualities of grit, determination, and perseverance, culminating in the creation of ESROM in 2018 and its first acquisition in 2019.
Various elements of the ESROM branding have connections and references to the artist, and his music continues to affect, inspire, and transform ESROM’s managing director.
